IRONWORKER

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must have the minimum of a high school education. Each applicant must also be able to read, write, and speak the English language in order to comprehend instruction in related training classes and to insure personal and co-worker safety on the job. At the time of making application, each applicant must present either a high school diploma, a high school proficiency certificate, or a certificate showing satisfactory scores in the General Education Development Test (G.E.D.). Satisfactory G.E.D. scores mean the achievement of a minimum of 40 in each of the individual test areas, and a minimum score of 45 for the entire group of tests. Applicants are responsible for making their own arrangements for G.E.D. testing. These arrangements can be made through the local school district office.

Applicants must be physically able to do work normally performed in the trade.
